I've added some great new links to the blog. First, there are links to Writer Beware & Preditors and Editors. Both are great sites that help writers avoid people trying to take advantage of them (I know, shocking.) The best thing to remember when dealing with potential agents or editors is that Money Flows to the Author. NOT the other way around. Do not pay for an agent. They are paid AFTER they sell your work. If an agent asks for money up front, RUN!
The second link is to Duotrope. This is a GREAT site to research short story (and other) submissions. Not only can you research different literary journals, but you can track your submissions on the site. I've been on there submitting almost every day since some friends told me about it. Check it out, and start sending your stuff out!
